The coaches, all completed in wood panelling and fixtures both restored to mint condition, unequivocally impress in the passenger a sensation of elegance and opulence yet, simultaneously allow him/her to enjoy them in a tranquil yet elegant manner.

Rovos Rail is delighted to offer the epitome of luxury in our rebuilt sleeper-coaches. Each one, perfectly reflecting the Edwardian period, houses the most spacious & fetching wood-panelled suites in the world. All offer familiar modern conveniences & comforts and, all are air-conditioned with the option of twin beds or spacious doubles. Each option of suite will contain a safe (for valuables), a writing surface and, a customisable stock of beverages in the bar-fridge. Room service is on offer 24 hours a day. Suites featuring en-suite bathrooms host original time-period fixtures combined with modern-day technology including hot water showers, shaver plugs and hairdryers.

Royal Suite
• Each Royal suite occupies half a carriage measuring 16m2 (172 sq feet).
• Option of twin or double bed.
• Full bathroom with Victorian bath and separate shower.
